About IMCE
The Indonesian Muslim Community of Edmonton (IMCE) is a charity, non-profit, religious-based organization that aims to foster the Indonesian muslims community living in Edmonton, Canada and its surroundings through various religious and social activities and support the establishment of an Islamic Centre.
IMCE is a registered charity and non-profit organization in Alberta, Canada (#767055346 RR 0001)
Our mission
We are a faith-based non-profit organization with the primary mission to advance religion and adherents of the faith by establishing, maintaining, and supporting a house of worship with services and activities held in accordance with the tenets and doctrines of Muslim faith as outlined in the Quran, the teaching of prophet Muhammad and mainstream “Sunni” Islamic school of thought.

To interact and cooperate with other similar interested organizations and the larger Muslim Communities for mutual benefit, support and encouragement.

Islamic Centre Project
One of our main goals is to establish an Islamic Center or Mosque to better serve our community, and we have already begun this project through various small fundraisers over the past few years. In the near future, we plan to increase our efforts and hope to make the center a reality within the next two or three years, inshaallah.

We believe that supporting our neighbors and building stronger, more connected communities is an essential part of creating positive change in the world.
Through charity and fundraising activities, we also strive to take part in making a positive difference in the world by helping those affected by earthquakes, flooding, and other devastating events.
For the Community
We are dedicated to serving the community through a variety of activities and events. We offer regular halaqas and social events, including game nights and bazaars, to foster a sense of community and connection among our members. We also celebrate important religious holidays such as Idul Adha and Idul Fitri with prayer and festivities. Additionally, we offer Quran reading classes for both children and adults to deepen our members’ understanding of their faith.
Our organization is also committed to engaging with the broader community and participates in community events.
